It is the closest to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, it is very active and many people return to work there every day. It is very well served by ferries. If you like the beach, go to Maspalomas, a large beach surrounded by large sand dunes. This island is very mountainous and that is its strong point. The mountains and small lakes are the main asset of the island, because these seashores are less pleasant than the other islands.
